Donna became pastor of Hinshaw in late June 2008. She is married to Kelly and they have a beautiful son, Daniel, and his pet cat Meow-Meow. Donna grew up in Greensboro and graduated from Western Guilford High School. She also graduated from UNC-Greensboro with a Bachelor of Music Education-Voice and served as a part time Church music director and taught elementary music in the GreenboroCity/Guilford County schools for 7 years before she felt called into the pastoral ministry. She enjoys playing the piano and singing and would love to make professional recordings some day very soon (with particular interest in healing music) to be used for ministry. Donna received her Masters of Divinity from Duke Divinity School in Durham, NC, was ordained Deacon in 1999 and Elder in 2002 and is the first and only Native American Female Elder in the Western NC Annual Conference. Donna has served other congregations in Salisbury and in Mount Mourne (Mooresville), NC before coming to Greensboro.

Hi I’m Jim Waynick! I’m glad you are visiting the Hinshaw Web page. I hope you will visit the church. I enjoy working with youth, children and adults. It’s fun to learn and share about our lives in the context of Jesus’ love.

The Music Ministry at Hinshaw is always in motion. Whether we’re preparing for Easter, or for the Advent season, our choirs and Worship Band are busy. Rehearsals and schedules are a bit lighter in the Summer months, but there’s always fun to be had while making music. If you have visited Hinshaw, you have seen or heard our music. Please feel free ask any one of us questions about what we do. We’d love to have you join us as we make a joyful noise!

I have a BS in music education and hold a valid teaching license. I have played piano since I was 4 years old and organ since 1976. After moving to NC in 2009, I was very blessed to find a position at Hinshaw where the music is diverse and the parish, staff and pastor are wonderful, caring, christian people.
